Screen shots of the lesson.

During this lesson, i edited the piece by slowing it down and changing the colour effects to black and white to make it more conventional.

Update, filming log.

Now we are planning to film most of our scenes on Tuesday 18th Jan, if possible all, but if not we shall use  more time on Wednesday 19th Jan to complete filming by Friday 21st to start editing. This will be at my nan's house due to the old fashioned nature of the film.

Blog update;; Monday the 24th January.

My role this lesson has been to mainly put the clips of footage into the sequence on the story board and it has also been to clip out and match up the imperfections on the filming. e.g a section Solomon looks at the camera, i had to edit this and cut it out, i then had the line the footage up with the timing on the walk otherwise it would not have mad sense and there would have been a jump.

MY main skill that i have developed is precision, and patience, without either you will not create a quality piece of work.

The only things we have changed about our sequence is at one point we have added an extra shot, the kissing scene, as it is from two different angles and we believed that it added an extra effect of compassion within the story.

in the editing process we still need to add the titles the fades in and out and sort out most of the timing, also adding the music will be a big part of the editing as there is no dialougue and it is mainly sound.

BLog updates and filming log.

Recently we were due to start filming our coursework (on 11th of January) but unfortunately due to one of our team members having an exam we had to postpone and reschedule this for a week later (Tuesday 18th January). During this period of which we could not film I had spent the time testing out aspects of the mac which could help make our production more professional, to do this I tried out 'GarageBand' and 'LiveType'. I used 'GarageBand' to try and compose some music for our opening sequence so we did not have to ask for permission of use from creators of other music samples as this may take a long time. I used 'LiveType' to create opening credits and see what effects would suit the gangster genre of film which we were filming.
